Fishin' With A Mission - A United Way Fundraiser Fishing Tournament

United Way of Santa Rosa County and AIG-American General are excited to announce that the second Bass Fishing Tournament "Fishin' with a Mission" will be held on April 12, 2008. The event will be held at River Run Marina, 6876 Quinn St. Milton, FL, and fishing expertise provided by 3 Rivers Bass Club of Milton.

Registration will begin February 15 and is $100 per boat, individual or team fishing. Call United Way of Santa Rosa County at 623-4507 or visit the website for a registration form: www.unitedwaysrc.org.

In the inaugural tournament in 2006, nearly 200 people in over 90 boats registered and over $24,000 was raised to support United Way of Santa Rosa County and its partner agencies. This year's goal is $50,000 where the profit will assist local non-profits supported by United Way of Santa Rosa County.

Blackwater Forest Ride for MS

Blackwater Forest Ride is a cycling adventure in which participants' ride for fun, fitness, networking, developing friendships, and most importantly a great cause. Cyclist are pampered throughout the ride with food-laden rest stops, entertainment, plenty of safety support and guidance, along with breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Check in begins at 7am and the ride starts at 8am at the Milton Community Center in Milton, Florida. The route options will take you on The Blackwater Heritage State Trail and through The Blackwater Forest. This event raises money to help support those who live with MS everyday.

NMSS North Florida Chapter provides funding for local programs and national research to help create a world free of MS.
